Huddersfield Quintessential

Huddersfield Quintessential will be bring their unique panache and style to All Saints Church on  Saturday, 15th October 2016 at 7.30 pm (Admission: £6.00 adults £2.00 children).

“Huddersfield Quintessential” are a Brass Quintet from Huddersfield University

Bring your friends to an excellent night of music.

Huddersfield Quintessential is a group of students which includes Hinckley’s Gary Perrin, all studying at Huddersfield University under the watchful eye of the well known ex-Black Dyke Mills Band principal cornet player, Phillip McCann. They originally formed two years ago to perform as part of their degree, however they soon started performing at events both in and out of the University. The group have amassed a wealth of performance experience both as a group and as soloists, and come from different musical backgrounds including traditional brass band and jazz.  The concert will include performances by guest soloists: Tim Norman on Piano, Dan Ridout on French Horn and Dave Harrold on Euphonium.

This is the fourth of a recent series of concerts over the last few years, initially performed by students of John Cleveland College. All have been hugely entertaining and enjoyable. This year we have been able to bring some of the students back, thanks to Gary Perrin’s persuasive powers, and expect to have another great night of high quality entertaining music.

Please come along and enjoy an excellent concert. Proceeds will be divided equally between the church fabric fund and the student musicians.
