Easter Bonnet Parade update!

Sapcote Churches together 2018 for a Messy Easter Parade

One year ago we had our first ‘Churches together Easter Bonnet Parade’and we hoped this would be an annual event. Today we had our second Easter Bonnet Parade linked to Messy church – so it was a Messy Easter Bonnet/hat Parade! We started off at All Saints Church and then walked to Sapcote Methodist Church for Easter crafts and refreshments. Easter hats and bonnets were judged (a very tricky job) and two winners announced. This was followed by an Easter egg hunt in the church building which proved to be highly successful for the younger members of the group. Thanks to everyone for turning up including Richard, our Churchwarden, who was there to meet and greet us at All Saints and a special thanks to Dave for playing the apt ‘Oh when the Saints go marching in’ to accompany us on our walk. Thanks also to our lovely friends at the Methodist church for their hospitality and support.

Sapcote Churches together 2017

Today we had an Easter bonnet parade from All Saints Church to Sapcote Methodist Church where we settled down to a fun Easter egg hunt with hot cross buns, drinks and Easter crafts, too. We hope to make this an annual joint event.
